Managing Director’s Message

Mr. Munaaba Henry Dhikusooka

Managing Director & Chairman Board of Directors

The world is changing at an accelerated rate and we as educators need to pause and reflect on the entire system of education. This reinforces the purpose of the Revised Curriculum in Uganda. However, are schools well equipped to prepare this generation to face the challenges the future holds for them?  This calls for a continuous process of assessment and evaluation. Hence, we need to forge ahead with a well-balanced curriculum, facilities that nurture not only academic areas but co-curricular areas as well.

St. Michael International School is a prestigious institute in the field of education. The school provides a perfect atmosphere for nurturing talent, cultivating skills, and maintaining values of life. Our mission is to train young boys and girls into all round citizens, who are competitive and always responsible to national and international trends.

We aim at sharpening of skills and enhancement of knowledge base in our students through various extra-curricular, co-curricular and curricular activities. This is enhanced through our staff who not only keep themselves at par with the current developments but also contribute to the expansion of the body of knowledge in their field of expertise.

A vision that aims to be a leading school in the provision of quality education that meets the changing global environment has been our driving force to success time and again. Our children are the hope of the next generation, the future of our country and beyond borders. Therefore, we always cultivate the culture of moral values and principles in our students so as to develop the whole child into a responsible and respectable citizen.

Children must learn love, integrity, kindness, diligence, and other values so that they are always sensitive and ready for the ever challenging needs of our society. These values build character and thus, we encourage our students to set high expectations for themselves, utilize the school environment, and they will be rewarded by their achievements.

Keeping that in mind, it is no surprise when I reiterate to my staff the paramount importance of wholesome educational process through reminding them “After a certain period of time, children do not remember what you taught them but what you were.”

I am certain that the students who walk into the portals of St. Michael International School would cherish the memories of their Alma Mater and step out well-groomed to face the challenges of life. So dear students, remember we “strive for success.”
