At St. Michael International School, Wakiso, we have students from diverse backgrounds who come together to form a vibrant diverse community centered around shared values and believes. The catholic community is one of the diverse community of students’ fraternity which is united by their faith and commitment to living out the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The SMIS Catholic community prides itself with a welcoming flair for students to deepen their faith and explore their spiritual growth while confronting the challenges of the academic world. But through regular mass attendance, prayer and service projects, these members foster a sense of belonging, and connection and live as a family.
The SMIS Catholic Community offers:
– Weekly masses which enhances over spiritual nourishment through liturgy
– Faith sharing groups which explore scripture and personal experiences
– Service projects which include volunteerism, social advocacy and fundraising activities.
In our SMIS Catholic Community, the students are encouraged to take up leadership roles in which they are exposed to:
– Train and guide fellow students and support fellow peers in faith
– Service coordination in organizing missions that are both internal and external
– Event planning and hosting of fellow students to different SMIS Catholic Community events
At SMIS Catholic Community, we pride ourselves in developing holistic individuals with a strong moral compass. This community thereby serves as a beacon of hope and faith at this hill. Through shared prayer, service and fellowship, members grow in their relationship with God and one another.
This community provides a foundation for spiritual growth, leadership development and a lifelong commitment to living out the gospel message as the students navigate the challenges of secondary education through their adolescence.
